This page provides you an overview of all the Users from your organization that have been mapped on Sidekick, across HubSpot and Slack/ MS Teams.
To navigate to the User Mappings page, click on the dropdown menu on the top-right corner of your Sidekick homepage, and select “User Management” from the options.

Select “User Mapping” from the left-side panel menu.
On this page, you will see a list of every user from your organisation that is mapped on Sidekick. You can choose to manually edit or delete individual user mappings by clicking on the three dots on the left-side of each record.
Click on any user’s name to view details like:
- First and Last Name
- HubSpot Email ID, Owner ID, and User ID
- Slack/ MS Teams Email ID and User ID
- Source of User’s mapping: Auto or Manual
- Details of any User Groups that specific User is tagged to
Sidekick automatically syncs newly added or modified users from your HubSpot and Slack/ MS Teams accounts, ensuring that the right people always have the right access. If you want to do this manually, click on the blue “Update Mappings” button on the top-right corner.
Click on the red “Resolve Conflicts” button to manually resolve any instances where a user’s email ID on HubSpot and Slack/ MS Teams are different. Any users in conflict will not be able to edit the action buttons inside Sidekick’s messages sent on Slack/ MS Teams.
Data Security & Permissions:
It’s important to complete your user mapping accurately. This ensures data security through correctly mapped permissions. Only those users that are mapped on Sidekick have access to update data back on your HubSpot CRM through Sidekick’s action buttons on Slack/ MS Teams.
For example, you might want to provide visibility of specific Deals to cross-functional team members (Marketing, Finance, etc) in your organization. You could do this by adding them to Sidekick’s Deal Channels on Slack/ MS Teams. In such a scenario, unless these cross-functional users have been mapped on Sidekick, they will only be able to “view” Sidekick’s messages, but not access its action buttons. This ensures that nothing is updated on your HubSpot CRM by mistake.
