Templates on Sidekick are where you define the content for the Slack/ MS Teams messages that Sidekick sends for a specific workflow. It’s necessary to create a Template for any Event-based or Recurring Workflow you create on Sidekick.
On Sidekick’s Templates page, you can view a list of all the existing Templates that are available for you to use.
For each Sidekick Template listed here, you’ll have the option to:
- View basic details for the Template, such as its Name, when it was created, its Trigger Type, and its Object Type.
- Click on the “Details” button to view its Description, how many workflows it’s currently being used in, its Destination, and who created it. You’ll also have the option to edit the Template.
- Test the Template by clicking on “Send” and selecting the Destination you want to send the message to on your Slack/ MS Teams. Sidekick will instantly send a message on your Slack/ MS Teams in this Template format.
Pro-tip: If you’re having trouble sorting through multiple Templates to find what you need, filter your search by Object Type (Contact, Company or Deal), and Trigger Type (Event or Recurring).
