User Groups need to be defined by you on Sidekick.
You probably already have User Teams created on your HubSpot CRM. For example, SDR Owners, AEs, Sales Leaders, BDR Teams, etc.
These User Teams need to be replicated on Sidekick as User Groups.
Creating User Groups is useful for when you’re making Templates or adding Call To Action (CTA) buttons on Sidekick. For instance, if you’re creating a CTA to update user type properties, and want to show a limited number of user options for that specific CTA, you should create a User Group, and select that User Group for the CTA options.
For example, let’s say you want to assign SDRs to new incoming leads via Sidekick’s Slack/ MS Teams message. You wouldn’t want Sidekick to show you a list of ALL your HubSpot users in its CTA dropdown on Slack/ Teams. You’d probably want to limit the dropdown options to only those HubSpot users who work as SDRs.
Creating User Groups on Sidekick enables you to do that.
To navigate to the User Groups page, click on the dropdown menu on the upper-right hand corner of your Sidekick homepage, select User Management from the options, and then select the User Groups option from the panel on the left.

This page provides you an overview of any existing User Groups you have created on Sidekick.
To update an existing User Group, click on the blue Members button. To delete an existing User Group, click on the red Delete button.
You can also create a new User Group by clicking on the New user group button shown below.

You will then be asked to assign a name to your new user group, and select the users you want to add to that user group.

For example, in the image above, we have named our new user group, SDR Owner. Clicking on the Select Users data field will open up a dropdown menu with a list of Users currently mapped on Sidekick. You can simply click on the names of those Users who should be part of your new SDR Owner user group.
Once you’re done, click on Create User Group. Now, when you create a new Template on Sidekick, the SDR Owner user group will be available for you to choose from in the CTA section.
